Summer Residency at Spiro Arts

This summer Rosemary will complete a fully funded residency at Spiro Arts in Park City Utah. Spiro Arts is famous for hosting the Sundance Film Festival in the winter. Spiro Art’s AIR program grants artists the opportunity to live and work as part of a creative community. Spiro Arts is dedicated to supporting artists, researchers, writers and composers in the creation of new works by offering an environment that promotes risk-taking and innovation. Residency terms are approximately six weeks long with 4-5 participants per term.

Work Acquired by Georgetown University

In 2012, Georgetown University Library collection of Prints and Drawings acquired 512 of Rosemary’s wood engravings for its permanent collection. Georgetown’s collection of over 15,000 fine prints is particularly strong in twentieth-century American artists and includes extensive collections of the works of Grace Albee, Lynd Ward, Barry Moser, Werner Drewes, and many others. The entire scanned collection of Rosemary’s work will be available for collectors and scholars, on the Library’s website in the next year.

Morrison House Presents Series

This engaging lecture series initiated by Rosemary brings art, culture, science, and other disciplines together during the first Tuesday evening of each month at the boutique hotel Morrison House in Old Town Alexandria. Free and open to the public, each month brings a new expert and intellectually stimulating topic for attendees to enjoy.

The series is sponsored by the Torpedo Factory Artists’ Association, the Alexandria Archaeological Commission, and the Morrison House Hotel. Please click here for more information and to see the upcoming calendar.
