01.08.08 The 0 Project continues
The projects initial lauch occurred at the Arlington Arts Center on October 5, 2007. The centerpiece of the project 0 (Zero), a 300-foot long, 15-foot banner printed on DuPont™ Tyvek®, which wrapped the old building of the historic Maury School like a belt. The 0 Project has been featured in articles in the Washington Post, Chemical and Engineering News, The Big Picture magazine, Mid Atlantic Art News, as well as many other publications and news programs. New pictures have been posted on the0project.com. The project continues to evolve with a catalog planned for the end of February 2008. 01.07.08

The 0 Project, the vision of artist Rosemary Feit Covey, is an interactive installation art piece involving participation worldwide, will be installed at the Arlington Arts Center through February 2008. The centerpiece of the project is 0 (“Zero”), a 300-foot long, 15-foot high banner printed on DuPont™ Tyvek®, which will wrap the old building of the historic Maury School like a belt. House of Cards is a female duet inspired by the wood engravings of artist Rosemary Feit Covey. Performed by dancers Alice Wylie and Francesca Jandasek, the work is a delicate balancing act between two women attempting to stand up straight with one another. Maintaining a sensual and physical connection, two pairs of legs and arms intertwine as one; spikes of a skirt get in the way; uncertainty builds tension.
