A few months ago I was invited to work on a very interesting assignment, design a wood engraving for the Suntup letterpress publication of Edgar Allen Poe's, The Tell Tale Heart. The result was a beautiful letterpress book, printed by Jerry Kelly, featuring my original wood engraving.

Collaboration of mind and spirit
The wood and resingrave I use for my work has literally grown extinct! Unfortunately for the future of the technique, the materials used are becoming harder or impossible to find. It is increasingly difficult to find the kind of wood used for wood engraving, specifically pear or the more preferred boxwood.
